RizomUV Workflow

With Use RizomUV enabled and a mesh selected, the B2RUVL panel shows the RizomUV controls. The RizomUV Link box at the bottom is always visible; the tools above it appear once a session is connected.

1. Connect

In the RizomUV Link box:

  • Start — launches/connects to RizomUV. The status line shows Status: Connected (globe icon) once linked.
  • Close — closes the connection (button replaces Start while connected).

If your Blender Python version is unsupported or binaries are missing, a warning appears here — see Troubleshooting.

2. Send and Get

  • Send to RizomUV — exports the active mesh (and active UV set, if Sync Active UV Set is on) into the connected RizomUV session.
  • Get from RizomUV — pulls the edited UVs back onto the Blender mesh.

3. Tools

Available while connected, under RizomUV Tools:

  • Sync UV Sets — synchronises UV sets between Blender and RizomUV.
  • Weld All — welds all UV edges.
  • Cut — cuts the selected edges.
  • Unfold — unfolds the UVs.
  • Optimize — optimizes/relaxes the UV layout.
  • Pack — packs the UV islands.

Run Script

Run a RizomUV Lua script from your Scripts Path:

  • Pick a script from the drop-down and press the ▶ (Play) button to run it.
  • Toggle Auto-run (machine icon) to run the selected script automatically.

Bundled scripts: Box, Mozaic, Pelt, Sharp_Edges. Add your own by placing .lua files in the configured Scripts Path.

4. Selection Sync

Push Blender edge selections to RizomUV from the Selection Sync box:

  • Seams, Sharp, Crease — select edges marked with that flag.
  • Current Selection — sync whatever is currently selected.
