Setup & Preferences

Open Edit → Preferences → Add-ons → B2RUVL and expand the entry. The preferences are split into a Headus UVLayout column and a RizomUV column.

Tab Category

Tab Category renames the sidebar tab the panel lives under (default B2RUVL).

RizomUV

Tick Use RizomUV to enable the RizomUV bridge. When enabled, B2RUVL tries to auto-fill the executable path from the Windows registry.

  • Executable Path — folder of your RizomUV install (e.g. C:\Program Files\Rizom Lab\RizomUV 2025.0). The panel shows "RizomUV Path not set" until this is filled.
  • Scripts Path — folder containing RizomUV Lua scripts. Defaults to the bundled functions/RizomUV/Scripts folder (Box, Mozaic, Pelt, Sharp_Edges). Point this elsewhere to use your own scripts.
  • Fixed TCP Port — port for the RizomUV connection. 0 (default) picks a port automatically; set a value in 49152–65535 only if you need a fixed port.
  • Sync Active UV Set — when on (default), the active UV set is synced automatically each time you send to RizomUV.

The link uses native binaries that must match your Blender Python version.

  • Check Updates — compares your local binaries against the upstream RemiArq/RizomUVLink repository and reports whether any differ.
  • Get Latest — downloads the latest binaries. Restart Blender afterwards so the native binaries reload.

Headus UVLayout

Tick Use UVLayout to enable the UVLayout export.

  • Executable Path — path to your UVLayout install. The Send to UVLayout button is disabled until this is set.
  • Surface TypePoly for normal meshes, SUBD for subdivision surfaces.
  • Cut and Drop by sharp edges — when on, UVLayout automatically cuts along edges marked Sharp in Blender (single object only).
